What makes Elmhurst different?

Elmhurst is a simpler, better option among plant-based milks. To start, all of our products have six or fewer ingredients, and no added gums or emulsifiers. We use more of the source ingredient – up to 4x per serving – than our competitors.

Is Elmhurst Milked the same as Elmhurst Dairy?

No. After closing Elmhurst Dairy in 2016, owner Henry Schwartz formed Elmhurst Milked as a new company. It bears the same name to preserve a family tradition, dating back to 1925, while introducing a new take on nutrition that is entirely plant-based.

Where is Elmhurst based?

Elmhurst is based in Elma, New York, a suburb of Buffalo.

All Elmhurst products are made in Elma, New York.

What does “Milked” mean?

Do I have to refrigerate my carton?

No – not until you first open it. The product is aseptically packaged to stay fresh at room temperature. Once the seal is broken, refrigerate and consume within 5 to 7 days.

How long does the product last?

You should consume your Elmhurst™ product by the date printed at the top of the container (six months from the date of manufacture). After opening, the product will last about 5 to 7 days in refrigerated conditions.

Do your products use preservatives to get a long shelf life?

No. Aseptic technology allows us to provide long-shelf life products without preservatives.

Why is my product separated?

Because we do not use gums or emulsifiers, the product will naturally separate when not touched for a while. Simply give the carton a good shake – this should take care of it.

Do you sell online?

Yes, our products can be purchased directly from our website – www.elmhurstmilked.com – or Amazon.

Do you sell outside the U.S.?

Currently, Elmhurst products are only available in the continental United States. We are not able to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada.

Does Elmhurst™ use GMOs?

No, we do not use GMOs in any of our products, and are Non-GMO Project verified.

Are your products gluten-free?

Yes, all of our products, including our grain milks, are gluten-free.

Are your products organic?

No, we are not certified organic. However, we take great care in selecting our growers. We can guarantee that all of our products are plant-based, vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO; and free of carrageenan, and other gums and emulsifiers.

Are your products dairy-free?

Yes. We do not use dairy, nor animal products or byproducts.

Do your products contain carrageenan?

No. In fact, we do not use any added gums or emulsifiers in our products.

What natural flavors do you use?
