No our walnuts receive no heat treatment before arriving at our plant. Once onsite, they are processed using our HydroRelease™ method.
Yes. The FDA/USDA requires that all raw almonds be pasteurized to protect against Salmonella. Our almonds are PPO pasteurized, which is an FDA-approved method. Pasteurized almonds are still considered raw.
