Blueberry Smoothie Bowl

Blueberry Smoothie Bowl Blueberry Smoothie Bowl

The best thing about this Blueberry Smoothie Bowl is that, once you've created the actual smoothie bowl, you can decorate the top with whatever delicious (and beautiful) ingredients you desire.

In case you're new to the smoothie bowl trend, here is how Delicious Living describes them,

"A smoothie bowl starts with a thick blend of whole foods, such as frozen fruits, veggies and other healthful mix-ins (e.g. avocado, oats or yogurt). Compared to the smoothies you’re used to sipping with a straw, the base of a smoothie bowl has a slightly thicker, almost ice-cream like consistency. The colorful base then gets poured into a bowl and topped with artfully decorated toppings that range from simple to over-the-top."

Here are the pieces that made up this Blueberry Smoothie Bowl:

  • Elmhurst Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • frozen cauliflower
  • frozen banana
  • frozen spinach
  • frozen blueberries
  • When a smoothie bowl contains that many frozen items, the final product is sure to be thicker and almost ice-cream like!

We chose to use the Elmhurst Unsweetened Almond Milk because there are zero added sugars in this milked almond base.

Additionally, because people enjoy their smoothie bowls to have that ice-cream like consistency, this milked almond product works perfectly because there are 18 whole, raw almonds in each glass, making it thicker than other almond milks.

We chose bananas and blueberries to give our smoothie bowl a hint of natural sweetness, but then evened it out by adding in two vegetables, cauliflower and spinach.

The combination of all 5 elements, colorful, creamy, and frozen, makes a smoothie bowl worth eating daily.

The Blueberry Smoothie Bowl tastes fantastic all on its own, but if you're like most, you'll enjoy it artfully decorated on top.

We used the following, and you can use any or all, as desired:
