Berry Green Breakfast Smoothie
The benefits of starting the morning with a green smoothie are endless. Our Berry Green Breakfast Smoothie will have you beginning the day filled with nutrition, ready to tackle anything and everything coming at you.
Benefits of Starting Your Morning with a Smoothie
You wouldn’t be indulging in this post if you didn’t love the taste of a simple, delicious smoothie. Besides the benefit of starting your morning with a smoothie because it just tastes so good, here are 5 other benefits: Nutrient-dense. We are all about a nutrient-dense smoothie because our plant-based milks provide up to 4 times the nutrition than that of leading brands. If the base of a smoothie is nutrient-dense, then we think the rest should be as well. You can make your morning smoothie as nutritious as you want by filling it with fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and any other boosts you see fit. By tossing everything in one blender, you can have a nutrient-dense breakfast in seconds. Natural boost of energy. A natural boost of energy happens (mostly) because of #1 (nutrient-dense). Our bodies give out what they take in. Give energy. Get energy. (But also, coffee is another natural boost.)
Custom fit. If you see a smoothie recipe you love online, but notice one ingredient you don’t enjoy or are allergic/intolerant to, you can easily customize it to fit your own lifestyle. Take this recipe (below) for example. Don’t love kale, but really love spinach? Then use 1 cup of spinach and no kale. Tired of too many banana smoothie recipes and want this recipe to be all about the berry? Use 1 cup of blueberries and skip the banana. It’s simple.
Tag along. A morning smoothie is the perfect tagalong for your walk, drive, or bike to work. Most small blenders these days come with several sizes of blender cups with a lid that matches. Make your smoothie, cap it, and run out the door with your new favorite tagalong.
Clean eating. Starting your morning with a smoothie can allow you to enjoy clean eating. The Elmhurst Unsweetened Hazelnut Milk featured in this recipe contains just two simple ingredients: hazelnuts and water. There are no added sugars, no gums or emulsifiers, no carrageenan, and it’s free from all additives and artificial flavorings. Keeping with the clean eating, we added only single-ingredient items to our morning smoothie recipe because it’s so easy to do.
